Why are women less engaging in debates?

Broadly speaking, women are not as aggressive or competitive as men. Obviously there are exceptions, but it's basically an evolutionary trait -- men were the hunters and women were the nurturers, thus even today men are more likely to be aggressive and competitive, and women are more likely to pursue socialization.
