Are the snow guns on ebay a scam?

i am interested in buying a snow maker so i can increase the amount of snow in my yard for a small sledding trail. i noticed ebay has a few for a decent price but i was wondering if they were a scam or a fake advertise. where els would be a good place to buy a new/used snow machine.
